Growing one's own herbs is something that a lot of people would like to do. However, there are a few things to think about before beginning your own herb garden design. Growing your own herbs is an easy and very economical way of having a ready supply of fresh herbs to use in your cooking.

The choice of herbs you decide to grow, will not only depend on your favorites, but also on other factors too. If you are not an experienced gardener, then maybe it would be best to start off with a herb that is relatively easy to go.

After all, a professional will be able to advise on what would grow best in space you have allocated for your herb garden. Just be sure to tell the gardener first what your favorite herbs are and the type of cooking you do (Italian, French, Indian etc).
