Gazebo Covers

 

A garden gazebo can be a wonderful addition to any yard or back yard as they offer all kinds of opportunities for enjoying your garden. While they are available in all manner of designs the most common is the type which use removable covers with a metal frame. This type of gazebo can usually be packed away and put into storage until the next time it is required. In the next article we shall be taking a look at replacement gazebo covers and the following article is an introduction to them.

Choosing Gazebo Covers

Gazebo covers are available in a massive range of colors and patterns but the most common are plain colors of blues or greens or alternative stripes of a color and white, green and white being extremely common (as in the photograph above). These covers act as the gazebo roof and its sides. In some cases the material may include a panel of another material, such as netting, to act as a window, allowing light and air to pass through easily.

Some side panels, such as doorways, are made completely of netting and, in some cases, all of the sides are netting. Netting allows the light and air to pass through while offering a small amount of privacy and keeping out bugs such as mosquitos (which can ruin any barbecue). Some gazebo covers are available with separate mosquito netting which can be used with or without the main cover.

Other Types Of Gazebo Cover

Once you have dismantled your gazebo you will need to place it into a suitable bag or cover to ensure that it does not get damaged. Such gazebo covers should also be waterproof as you will need to ensure that no moisture can reach your gazebo while it is stored away. Even the smallest amount of moisture can cause the growth of mildew and moulds on any textiles and can cause rust, or other damage, to metal components. You should also ensure that your gazebo is thoroughly dry before placing it into the cover.
