The Parkland Gazebo

A parkland gazebo

The image above shows a typical parkland gazebo. These structures are usually of a permanent design and rather heavy duty. Sometimes such structures are enclosed and used for storage or even a place for the grounds keepers to take a break, and sometimes they are created with removable side panels so that they can be changed from an enclosed gazebo to an open gazebo whenever this type is required. However this article will take a look at the Parkland Heritage Gazebo which is a wholly different article but well worth discussing in some detail.

D. C. America & The Parkland Gazebo

D. C. America has been around since 1981 and produces a variety of outdoor living products ranging from ornate garden benches to their, top of the range, Parkland Heritage Signature line of gazebos and other items. Their products are widely available through major American retailers, catalog outlets and online stores.

The Parkland Heritage line is of high quality American craftsmanship and are supplied with either a Lifetime Warranty or a One Year Limited, depending on the material used. D. C. America use Authentic Teakwood and American Solid Oak for wooden slats and their castings are of aluminum or heavy-duty iron. They offer a range of excellent garden furniture, such as benches, chairs and table sets, birdbaths, urns, arbors and, of course, the Parkland Gazebo.

The Parkland Gazebo is available in sizes, 10 x 10 or 11.6 x 11.6 and are made using powder coated steel (heavy-duty) which has decorative inserts made from cast iron (the tops are made from awning grade poly). Like many other garden gazebos they can be used in a variety of circumstances but they are incredibly useful for using as a shelter for an outdoor hot tub.

It is incredibly important that, when receiving your Parkland Heritage Gazebo, that you read the instructions thoroughly. These gazebos are of superb quality but if you construct them incorrectly you can risk water reaching places it should not and this will cause rust. It is also worth noting that D. C. America do not cover this type of damage in their warranty.

Other than the above caution you will find that caring for your Parkland Gazebo is a simple task of cleaning the metal frame regularly with mild soap and water (make sure that you dry it before packing it away otherwise it might be damaged). While the top has been treated with a water repellant it should not be considered completely waterproof and it is advised that it is removed when the weather is bad, again it should be thoroughly dry before you pack it away unless you want to risk the growth of mildew!
