Getting Lawn Care Help

A patchy lawn in need of help

In our previous article I introduced you to the idea of creating a lawn maintenance schedule as a means of managing your time so that you can have a beautiful lush green lawn with the most minimal amount of time and effort. Unfortunately not all of us have sufficient spare time and many of us would rather spend what little free time we have with friends and family. In this case you will need a little lawn care help as failure to do certain basic lawn care tasks will, almost certainly, result in a messy and unruly lawn which will make any garden look a mess.

Take a look around your neighborhood and, most probably, you will notice that most yards have a lawn and most are in reasonable shape. If you want to have a nice patch of green grass in your front or back yard you will need to ensure that it gets cut as often as required and that it gets sufficient water and nutrients to sustain reasonable growth. There are a few ways to cut back on the amount of time required to care for your lawn, such as using slow release fertilizers, watering systems and the likes, but if you can not afford such luxuries it is important to accept that you really do need some lawn care help.

If you have kids you can often get them to cut the grass but you will need to ensure that they are fully capable and well versed in safety procedures. Do not, under any circumstance let a young child cut grass unattended it is fraught with danger! The very same could be said with fertilizer which should always be stored well out of the reach of children anyway. So, if children can not do your lawn care who will?

In the following articles I shall be taking a look at how you can hire a lawn care contractor. While this may sound a little expensive it may surprise you to learn that it is, very often, highly affordable and a great deal less than most people imagine. Such people can get the basic lawn care tasks completed in half the time that it would take somebody who is not so knowledgeable in the field. Often only an hour or two every two weeks or so is all that is required.

If professional lawn care help is also beyond your means you could always look at hiring a young, able bodied, person to do the work for you. You can also look in your local newspaper or in the window of a local store as such young folk often advertise for work, including various tasks around the home and garden, for very reasonable rates.
