Perennials

Welcome to our section about perennials. This section is extremely new and as such only this page exists. We plan to list all perennials in alphabetical order in the usual A to Z fashion.

Perennials are an important addition to any garden they are, more or less, the permanent plants of the garden that grow up again year after year. Each spring they throw themselves into life until they are ready to flower. After a few months the flowers begin to fade and many will die back, underground, for the winter to restart the cycle in spring.

Most perennials are very hardy and are usually free from pests and disease. The diversity is incredible with the main differences being in their growth habits and patterns. Perennials range from low growing plants, suitable for the border edge, to the tall and powerful tall plants, suitable for the very back of the border.

The range of flower color spans the full spectrum, flowering from early spring to late autumn, depending on their location, providing a rainbow of color around your garden and filling the air with gorgeous fragrances which change as you move.

Further down the page you will find articles about several of the perennials in common use in many home gardens. At the moment we only have a few articles,but call back soon as we will continue to add more perennials throughout the 2008/9 as soon as we have finished upgrading the quality of the older content on our site.
